Terms of Service
Last updated 9 September 2026
SparkSheet is operated by Peak Electrical Contracting Ltd, a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Peak Electrical Contracting Ltd, and "you" means the person or business using SparkSheet.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. What SparkSheet is
SparkSheet is a set of tools for electrical contractors. It includes calculators, a panel schedule builder, plan and image markup, and file storage. We add and change features over time.
SparkSheet is a tool, not a substitute for your professional judgment.
Every calculation, drawing and document produced by SparkSheet is your responsibility to check before you rely on it, submit it, or give it to anyone else. You are the qualified person. We are not your engineer, and we do not review your work.
SparkSheet is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by CSA Group, Technical Safety BC, or any authority having jurisdiction. Code references in the software are provided for convenience and may not reflect the current edition, local amendments, or the interpretation of your inspector. The published code and your AHJ are the authority, not this software.
2. Your account
You need an account to use SparkSheet. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
Seats and crew members
Paid plans include a number of seats. A seat is one active user. If you invite crew members, you are responsible for their use of the service and for making sure they follow these terms. Making a user inactive frees their seat while keeping their past work in your account.
Sharing one login between multiple people is not permitted, because it breaks the record of who did what.
3. Subscriptions, trials and payment
New accounts include a free trial. At the end of the trial your subscription begins and the payment method on file is charged, unless you cancel first.
Payments are handled by Paddle. Paddle.com Market Ltd acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. When you subscribe, your contract for the purchase is with Paddle, and Paddle handles billing, payment methods, invoices, sales tax and refunds.
Your bank or card statement will show Paddle rather than SparkSheet. This is normal and is not an unrecognised charge.
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Paddle adds any sales tax that applies where you are, and shows it before you pay. We may change prices, and if we do we will give you at least 30 days notice before it affects an existing subscription.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.
4. Your content
Your work is yours. Plans, photos, calculations, notes, job details and files you put into SparkSheet remain your property. We do not claim ownership of them.
You give us permission to store, process and display that content only so far as we need to in order to run the service for you. That includes storing it with the infrastructure providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. If you put a client's drawings into SparkSheet, that is between you and your client.
You can export or download your files at any time while your account is active.
5. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- break the law, or use SparkSheet to help someone else break it
- upload content you do not have the right to upload
- try to access another account, or any data that is not yours
- copy, resell or redistribute the software, or extract the underlying data for another product
- attack the service, or interfere with anyone else's use of it
- use automated means to scrape the service beyond normal use
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.
6. Availability
We work to keep SparkSheet running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may change or remove features.
SparkSheet stores your work on your device as well as in your account, so the tools keep working when you have no signal. Syncing resumes when you are back online.
7. Ending your account
You can cancel at any time. When a subscription ends you keep the ability to sign in and download the files you have already created, but you will not be able to generate new work until you subscribe again.
If you ask us to delete your account we will do so, and that removes your content. It cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first.
We may end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we do that and you have paid in advance, we will refund the unused part.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent the law allows:
- SparkSheet is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from a calculation, drawing, quantity or document produced using SparkSheet. Checking that work is your responsibility, as set out in section 1.
- Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SparkSheet after that means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek an injunction wherever it is needed.
